Dash dazzles in bronze at World Wheelchair Curling Championship
Team Canada wrapped their time at the 2025 World Wheelchair Curling Championship with a bronze medal performance, defeating Slovakia 4-2 to take third place.
Wolseley’s Gil Dash and Canada went 6-5 in round robin play and defeated Norway 6-4 to qualify for semifinal action against China, just narrowly missing out on the chance to play for gold after falling 5-4.

The 2025 Montana’s Brier ends for Saskatchewan teams
The 2025 Montana’s Brier concluded with Saskatchewan’s Team Mike McEwen and Team Rylan Kleiter finishing with mixed results.
After an 8-6 loss to Yukon’s Team Scoffin, Team Kleiter dropped 3-4 in Pool B and were unable to qualify for playoffs. In their final round robin game, Saskatchewan fell 8-5 to Quebec and finished seventh overall.
Meanwhile, Team McEwen wrapped round robin play 7-1, before falling to Manitoba’s Team Dunstone 6-5 and Team Carruthers 6-4 in playoff action.
Capturing the Brier, was Alberta’s Team Brad Jacobs, featuring Regina-lead Ben Hebert. The team defeated Manitoba’s Dunstone 5-3 in the final.

Crozon, Canada at first-ever FIBA 3×3 Champions Cup
The 3×3 women’s national team roster was announced by Canada Basketball and Humboldt’s Paige Crozon is once again set to represent the red and white at the first-ever FIBA 3×3 Champions Cup 2025.
Crozon, joined by teammates Kacie Bosch, Katherine Plouffe and Saicha Grant-Allen will travel to Bangkok to compete from March 14-15 in round robin play.
Canada will compete in Pool A against China, Germany and Madagascar.
Podbielski named February Athlete of the Month
After competing at three events and accumulating five gold medals in the process, Jonathan Podbielski, who hails from Regina, earned February Athlete of the Month honours.
