Coach Visitation Program
The Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan Coach Visitation Program is designed to assist Provincial Sport Organizations and high performance coaches collaborate and learn from national coaches or experts within a competition or clinic setting, in Saskatchewan.
The program allows for up to $750 once per fiscal year per Provincial Sport Organization.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the coach visitation program, a national coach or coaching expert must already be traveling to Saskatchewan for a planned competition, camp or coaching clinic.
Application Process
Provincial Sport Organizations apply to the Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan at least 30 days prior to the visitation outlining:
- the visitation program objectives
- the timelines of the competition, camp or clinic utilizing the national coach or expert
- budget outlining revenues, expenses, and amount requested
- list national coaches or coaching expert attending and the expected learning outcomes from the clinic
After the visitation event, the Provincial Sport Organization must:
- Provide coaches in attendance with an evaluation form and forward completed forms to the Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan
- Complete post-visitation report form for the Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan. Report form will be forwarded with acceptance letter.
Approval
If approved, the Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan will provide financial assistance to offset costs associated with conducting additional clinics.
Eligible Expenditures:
- extra accommodation
- per diem expenses
- honoraria
- room or facility rental
Ineligible Expenditures:
- international flights
- lost wages or compensation for time off work
- alcohol
