Connell, Ramsay named to National Elite and Development Teams

Racquetball Canada named two Saskatchewan players to the 2026–27 National Elite and Development Teams.

Danielle Ramsay and Lee Connell, both of Saskatoon, will join the National Women’s and Men’s Elite Teams, respectively. The teams will gather this summer for a national training camp as they begin preparations for the 2026 World Championships and upcoming national season.

Carroll named to 2026 senior national artistic gymnastics team

Saskatoon gymnast Jordan Carroll will help represent Canada on the men’s 2026 senior national artistic gymnastics team.

Throughout the upcoming season, the team will compete for Canada at international events and training camps while continuing their development within Gymnastics Canada’s high-performance program. 

Seven Sask. archers will represent Canada on the world stage

Seven Saskatchewan archers will represent Canada on the world stage in Yankton, South Dakota from September 22–27, at the 2026 World Archery Field Championships.

In the compound bow category, Sarah St. Amant (Edam) will compete in the women’s division, while Grace Trevena (Pilot Butte) and Sydni Keichiger (Biggar) will take part in the women’s U21 division and Blair St. Amant (Edam) will join the men’s side as an alternate.

Meanwhile, the barebow category will see Chris Kent-Rodgman (Saskatoon) and Jovica Dujukic (North Battleford) compete in the men’s division while Ember Frigon (Pilot Butte) will be the province’s lone representative on the women’s side in the women’s U21 division.

Langford at U17 World Wresting Championships

From July 27 – August 2, Saskatoon wrestler Tyler Langford will be representing Team Canada at the 2026 U17 World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Langford will compete in the men’s 92-kilogram freestyle category.
