Hudak and Ehman get nod for national Para Nordic teams
Prince Albert’s Brittany Hudak and Saskatoon’s Jesse Ehman have named to Canadian Para Nordic cross-country skiing teams hoping to lead the charge at the 2022 Winter Paralympics in Beijing and beyond.
Hudak, a bronze medalist at the 2018 Paralympics, was selected for the senior team, while Ehman, who’s twice compete at the Para Nordic world cup, earned a spot on the NextGen team.
Volleyball’s Friesen a hopeful for 2024 Summer Olympics
Left side hitter Braedon Friesen of Swift Current has been selected as one of 16 athletes for Volleyball Canada’s indoor men’s NextGen training group.
The program, which is scheduled to run May 24 to late August in Gatineu, Que., is composed of athletes who have the potential to represent Canada at the 2024 Olympic Summer Games in Paris.
Athletics Canada to release details of Olympic and Paralympic Trials on May 17
Athletics Canada has pushed the release of details for the announcement of modified Olympic and Paralympic Trials from May 14 to May 17.
At this time, the Trials are still scheduled for June 24-27 in Montreal and Athletics Canada is working to with local authorities to coordinate a safe delivery of the event.
