Canada secures silver at 2025 IIHF Women’s World Championship
Team Canada took home silver from the 2025 IIHF Women’s World Championship after being edged to a 4-3 loss against the United States.
The red and white earned a chance to play for gold after dominating Japan 9-1 in quarterfinals and Finland 8-1 in semifinals, with Saskatoon’s Emily Clark securing a goal in both games.
Meanwhile, Drake official, Alex Clarke was the linesperson for the bronze medal game between Czechia and Finland.

2025 Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship
Saskatchewan will be represented twice at the 2025 Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship from April 28-May 3, in Boucherville, Que.
Gil Dash (skip) and his Moose Jaw team featuring, Marie Wright (third), Moose Gibson (second) and Dawin Bender (lead) will make up Team Saskatchewan #1.
Meanwhile, Saskatoon’s team of Pete Anderson (skip), Mark Kennedy (third), Stephen Draude (second) and Ashley Baerg (lead) will represent Team Saskatchewan #2.
Three Teams with Saskatchewan ties to attend Canadian Curling Trials
The Canadian Curling Trials will officially determine who will claim the honour of representing Canada in Italy for the Olympic Games and three teams with Saskatchewan ties are set to compete.
Halifax will host the trials from Nov. 22-30, with Saskatoon’s Team Rylan Kleiter and Team Mike McEwen, joined by Calgary’s Team Brad Jacobs, which feature’s Regina born Ben Hebert in attendance.
