February 5, 2024
February marks Black History Month, an opportunity to honour the legacy and contributions of Black Canadians have made and continue to make, in all sectors of society, including sport.
Year in and year out, Black Canadian athletes strive on the world stage and have played integral roles in the country’s sporting success. Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan celebrates the achievements, and is committed to diverse storytelling through the lens of sport both throughout February, and all year long. We will be sharing information and resources from organizations across the country to help better spread awareness and understanding of the month’s importance.
