Team Canada wraps Pacific Four Series
Regina’s Gabrielle Senft and the Canadian women’s rugby team wrapped the 2026 Pacific Four Series on a high after defeating the United States, 50-12 during their match in Chicago.
Following their victory, Canada now sits second in World Rugby standings.
Saskatchewan brings the heat at 2026 Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship
The yellow and green is being represented by Moose Jaw duo, Marie Wright and Moose Gibson, as well as Kipling’s Gil Dash at the 2026 Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship from April 27-May 2 in Boucherville, Quebec.
In their opening matches, Team Saskatchewan secured back-to-back victories with a 5-4 win over Team Northern Ontario #1 and a 6-5 win over New Brunswick #1.
Canada has mixed start to WBSC U23 Men’s World Cup
The Canadian U23 Men’s National Softball Team featuring Max Major, who hails from Delisle, had a mixed start at the WBSC U23 Men’s World Cup.
Competition began with Canada defeating Denmark 3-1, before falling back-to-back in their following games, losing 5-0 to Australia and 7-6 against Mexico.
The red and white will wrap round robin play with games against Singapore and Venezuela.

Canada starts strong at 2026 IIHF U18 Men’s World Championship
Saskatoon forward Beckett Hamilton has joined Team Canada at the 2026 IIHF U18 Men’s World Championship from April 22-May 2 in Bratislava and Trencin, Slovakia.
The Canadians started preliminary action with a 2-1 loss against the host country, before making a comeback by achieving three consecutive shutouts: 6-0 over Latvia, 8-0 against Norway and 7-0 over Finland.
Team Canada will look ahead to quarterfinal action on April 29 against Sweden.
