Findlay named to Canada Selects rugby team

Regina’s Mostyn Findlay was named to Canada Selects men’s team ahead of their match against the Vancouver Highlanders on June 28 at Burnaby Lake.

The match will provide Findlay and the other 27 players with high-performance training ahead of roster selection for Team Canada’s upcoming rugby matches in Ottawa, against Scotland and Romania.

Magus joins Team Canada at U21 Volleyball Championship

Sophia Magus, of Saskatoon, is helping represent Canada’s volleyball team at the U21 NORCECA Continental Championship from June 25-30, in Toronto.

Eight teams have come together at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre to compete for gold. Canada will play within Group B against Costa Rica, Mexico and the Virgin Islands.

Trio attended Team Canada National Camp

Regina duo, Garrett Ostepchuk and Nik Goncin were joined by Aberdeen’s Kyrell Sopotyk on Canada’s wheelchair basketball team for a national camp, held from June 19-23 in Toronto.

The five-day camp acted as the final training opportunity before Canada’s team roster is selected for the Paralympic Games.
