Spicer-Moran named to 2026 Senior National Archery Team roster
Archery Canada has announced the 2026 Senior National Teams roster, which includes Prince Albert’s Tristan Spicer-Moran, who will compete in the compound event.
Spicer-Moran, alongside the 24 other athletes will begin their quest to secure quotas for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games at the 2026 Pan Am Championships in June.
Eleven Sask. softball players named to 2026 Men’s National Team Athlete Pool
Among the 36 athletes named to the 2026 Men’s National Team Athlete Pool by Softball Canada, 11 hail from various locations across Saskatchewan, including:
- Jordan Hudson, Devon McCullough, Zach Pierce – Saskatoon
- Ryan Bicknell, Matthew Kutnikoff – Prince Albert
- Troy Kosmynka, Justin Laskowski -Warman
- Max Major, Will Major, Brant Wiebe – Delisle
- Nick Patrick – St. Louis
The athlete pool was selected based on performance at various national and international events.
Saskatchewan curlers at Grand Clam of Curling
From Dec. 16-21, Saskatchewan curlers hit the sheet for the HearingLife Canadian Open – Grand Slam of Curling event in Saskatoon.
Team McEwen got to play on home ice with skip Mike McEwen, lead Daniel Marsh, second Kevin Marsh and third Colton Flasch going 1-3 through round robin play, wrapping their final match with a 5-3 loss to Team Retornaz.
Meanwhile, the other Saskatoon-based team, featuring skip Rylan Kleiter, third Matthew Hall, second Joshua Mattern and lead Trevor Johnson went 0-4.
Regina lead Ben Hebert and Team Jacobs had back-to-back wins before falling 8-6 in quarterfinal action against Team Whyte.
