Bronze for Canada at final stop of 2025 HSBC SVNS season
Team Canada and Carissa Norsten are shining in bronze after their 27-7 win over the host team at the final stop of the 2025 HSBC SVNS season in Los Angeles.
Canada started strong with two back-to-back wins, defeating Japan 26-0 and Great Britain 26-17, before falling 41-5 against New Zealand and 33-7 against Australia.

2025 Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship
The 2025 Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship, took place from April 28 to May 3, with Saskatchewan wrapping their time on the sheet with mixed results.
Team Saskatchewan #1 with Gil Dash (skip), Moose Gibson (second), Marie Wright (third), and Dawin Bender (lead) went 3-2 in the round robin before falling 6-5 to Quebec in quarter finals.
Meanwhile, Team Saskatchewan #2, featuring Pete Anderson (skip), Mark Kennedy (third), Stephen Draude (second) and Ashley Baerg (lead) went 1-4 in pool play and did not advance to playoffs.

Canada takes CONCACAF W Futsal Championship title
The inaugural CONCACAF W Futsal Championship in Guatemala has concluded with Saskatoon’s Erica Hindmarsh, Jade Houmphanh and Jadyn Steinhauer joining Team Canada in the historic win, following an 8-2 victory over Panama.
In group play, Canada went 2-1 before taking on Mexico in semi-final action. The two tied 4-4 in regular time, before Canada made the win official in overtime with a shootout.
The gold earned the red and white a spot to join 15 other countries in competition at the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup Philippines 2025™, set to take place from Nov. 21 to Dec. 7.
Jerson Barandica-Hamilton, of Saskatoon, joined the team for the duration of the championship, from April 28 to May 4 as assistant coach.
