Stewart, Tarasoff conclude time at International Youth Diving Meet
Two Saskatchewan divers wrapped their time at the International Youth Diving Meet in Dresden, Germany.
Regina’s Lila Stewart reached the podium twice, claiming gold in the girls’ group A 3-metre springboard event and silver in the 1-m event.
While Kash Tarasoff, of Saskatoon, achieved fifth place in the boys’ platform group A event.
Norsten named to Team Canada for final stop
Rugby Canada has named Carissa Norsten to the Canadian roster once again for the final stop of the 2025 HSBC SVNS season in Los Angeles.
From May 3-4, Canada is set to compete in Pool A against New Zealand, Great Britian and Japan.
2025 Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship
The two teams representing Saskatchewan started competing at the 2025 Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship in Quebec on Monday.
Team Saskatchewan #1 with Gil Dash (skip), Moose Gibson (second), Marie Wright (third), and Dawin Bender (lead) defeated New Brunswick 7-5.
Meanwhile, Team Saskatchewan #2, featuring Pete Anderson (skip), Mark Kennedy (third), Stephen Draude (second) and Ashley Baerg (lead) were edged to a 9-8 loss against Newfoundland and Labrador.

Saskatoon Stars dazzle in silver at Esso Cup
The Saskatoon Stars claimed silver after a 7-3 loss to Edmonton Jr. Oilers in the gold medal game at the Esso Cup U18 women’s national club hockey championship.
Leading into the final, Saskatoon had mixed preliminary results going 2-2, before defeating Ontario’s North York Storm 3-2 in semifinal action.
Saskatoon forward Halle Duchene led the team in goals and was named the top forward of the tournament.
Regina Pat Canadians shine as 2025 Telus Cup champions
The Regina Pat Canadians took home title from the 2025 Telus Cup U18 men’s national club hockey championship, after edging Quebec’s Chevaliers de Lévis to a 3-2 loss, with Regina forward Maddox Schultz scoring the decisive goal in overtime.
Regina earned their spot in the gold medal game after going 4-1 in round robin play and claiming a 5-0 victory over Ontario’s Elgin Middlesex Canucks.
Schultz was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player for leading in goals and assists.
