Canada secures Olympic berth at World Men’s Curling Championship
Canada wrapped their time in Moose Jaw at the BKT World Men’s Curling Championship with a bronze medal and quota spot for the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympic Games.
Regina’s Ben Hebert (lead) joined by Brad Jacobs (skip), Brett Gallant (second), Marc Kennedy (third), and Tyler Tardi (alternate) wrapped regular play and secured a place in semi-finals.
After falling 7-4 to Scotland, Canada advanced to play for bronze, dominating China 11-2 to take the medal.
Who will represent Canada in Italy will be determined following results at the Canadian Curling Trials, set for Nov. 22-30, 2025, in Halifax.
Senft named to Team Canada Pacific Four Series
Rugby Canada announced their 36-player roster for the 2025 Pacific Four Series and Gabrielle Senft, who hails from Regina, was among those selected.
Canada is set to play against the USA, New Zealand and Australia.
2025 Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame inductees
On Tuesday, April 8, the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame announced three athletes, two teams and two builders who will join the previous 554 inductees in the Hall of Fame.
