Musschoot, Opseth named to Volleyball Canada U21 roster

Grenfell’s Lucas Musschoot and Birch Hills’ Noah Opseth have been named to Volleyball Canada’s U21 roster. The duo are among 15 athletes competing for 12 roster spots to attend the U21 NORCECA Men’s Pan American Cup, set for Oct. 1-9 in Cuba.

Two Saskatchewan archery judges selected for 2023 Canada Winter Games

The 2023 Canada Winter Games will have two judges from Saskatchewan when the archery events start on March 1, 2023 in Charlottetown.

Robert Pannell will be the Director of Shooting (DOS) for the event, while Lee Hart will also be part of the six-person judging team. The archery event will feature female and male individual compound and recurve categories, as well as a mixed team competition for each bow type.

The 2023 Canada Winter Games begin Feb. 18 and wrap up on March 4, 2023.

Canada wins two, loses one at the 2022 International Para Hockey Cup

Team Canada got off to a good start at the International Para Hockey Cup, beating host Czechia 3-0 on Saturday and then the International Para Hockey Team 5-2 on Sunday. However, they suffered their first loss of the tournament on Tuesday with an 8-2 loss to USA.
