Senft, Canada clinch spot in Rugby World Cup quarterfinals

After a 22-12 win over Italy at the Women’s Rugby World Cup, Canada has earned a spot in the quarterfinals in Auckland, New Zealand.

The Canadian team, which features Regina’s Gabrielle Senft, sits atop Pool B with two wins and no losses. Canada will face the USA in the group stage on Saturday evening. And while they are already into the playoff round, a win on Saturday would mean a more favourable quarterfinal matchup.
