McKnight named to Team Canada for Pan American Water Polo Championship
Brody McKnight, of Regina, was named to help represent Team Canada at the 2024 Pan American Water Polo Championship, which will take place November 20-25, in Ibague, Colombia.
Canada is set compete against Argentina, Panama, Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico and Colombia.
Fish finishes first at Speed Skating Championship
Moose Jaw’s, Graeme Fish helped represent Canada at the ISU Four Continents Speed Skating Championship from Nov. 15-17 in Hachinohe City, Japan.
In the men’s 5000-metre race, Fish finished first with a 6:18.06 time and did not compete again during his time at the championship.
Carroll, Jones recipients of Petro-Canada Coaching Excellence Award
Mary Carroll and Ryan Jones, who both hail from Saskatoon, were named recipients of the Petro-Canada Coaching Excellence Award at the Petro-Canada Sport Leadership Awards Gala, which took place Nov. 15 in Regina.
The awards recognize coaches whose athletes have excelled at world championships, Olympic and Paralympic Games, and at the Special Olympics World Games.
