Clark, Canada strong start at IIHF Women’s World Championship
Saskatoon forward Emily Clark joined Team Canada for their strong start at the 2025 IIHF Women’s World Championship in Czechia.
The Canadians dominated Finland 5-0 and Switzerland 4-0, before just falling 2-1 to the United States. Canada wrapped round robin play after defeating the host team 7-1 and sits second in Group A standings.
Quarterfinals are set to begin April 17, with matchups yet to be announced.

Hindmarsh, Steinhauer named to inaugural women’s futsal national team
Canada Soccer released the roster for the inaugural women’s futsal national team, with Saskatoon’s Erica Hindmarsh and Jadyn Steinhauer joining 12 others for the Concacaf W Futsal Championship, in Guatemala.
From April 28 to May 4, Canada will compete to claim a historic first women’s futsal championship title and qualify for the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup Philippines 2025.
Canada will compete in Group B against the United States, Costa Rica, Honduras and Nicaragua.
