Sask Sport named eight Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan registered athletes as finalists for the 2019 Saskatchewan Sport Awards Wednesday.
The Saskatchewan Sport Awards are set for the evening of March 26, 2020, at Saskatoon’s TCU Place.
Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan athletes that are finalists include:
Youth Male – Athlete of the Year
Carson Lee, Wrestling
Rylan Wiens, Diving
Youth Female – Athlete of the Year
Lila Stewart, Diving
Male Athlete of the Year
Graeme Fish, Speed Skating
Jarret Kenke, Kayak
Female Athlete of the Year
Courtney Hufsmith, Athletics
Keely Shaw, Para cycling
Krystal Shaw, Para swimming
This annual event will celebrate the achievements of the amateur athletes in 2019, as well as the long-time contributions of coaches, officials and volunteers. Finalists and recipients were nominated by Provincial Sport Organizations and will be selected by Sask Sport’s Future Best & Awards Committee.
