Regina’s Logan Pletz is one of 16 athletes named by Biathlon Canada to represent the country at the IBU Youth/Junior World Championship in Obertilliach, Austria later this month.
A gold medallist at the 2019 Canada Winter Games, Pletz also completed at the Youth World Junior Championship in Orsblie, Slovakia in 2019, finishing 19th in the sprint race. Training with the Senior National Development team in Whistler for the last two seasons, Pletz earned one of four spots for Canadians at the championship after winning three of four trials races with teammates on the developmental team.
Pletz and Team Canada will travel to Europe for a week of training. The World Junior Championships are Feb. 27 to March 6.
