Canada continues to hold its place near the top of the medal standings in third, sitting with 105 medals, 35 of which are gold.
Blaire McDowell, Women’s Water Polo
Regina’s Blaire McDowell competed in the preliminary round against Argentina on Monday, helping bring Canada’s Women’s Team Group A to a 14-9 win.
Tuesday morning, McDowell and Team Canada dominated Cuba 24-3 in their second preliminary game. The team will look ahead to their final preliminary match early Wednesday against Mexico.
Brody McKnight, Men’s Water Polo
Body McKnight, a Regina local, competed in the preliminary round against Chile on Monday, capturing a 28-4 win. McKnight and Team Canada carried their strong offensive play into the second preliminary match against Cuba on Tuesday, winning 24-6.
The Men’s Team Group B will face Argentina in the final preliminary match on Wednesday.
