High Performance Coaching Grant Form

The High Performance Coach Development Grant supports Saskatchewan coaches who work with high performance athletes and are committed to upgrading their coaching skills and abilities through education, training, and certification.

This grant allows the coach to participate in coaching workshops or conferences, attend major competitions as a coach, mentor with a Master Coach, upgrade their NCCP certification, or consult with a recognized sport expert. This grant may also be used in combination with support from other cost-sharing partners to help coaches broaden the scope of their learning opportunities.

Please fill out the below application form to be considered for the High Performance Coach Development Grant. All applications must be completed in full, to be considered.

Describe proposed learning objectives (limited to 500 words) by:*

1. Identifying the learning objectives and outcomes related to your participation in the activity(s) to be supported through this grant program
2. Indicating how the proposed activity will provide a valuable coaching/educational experience
3. Indicating how the activity will contribute to your career path as a coach and toward enhanced coaching certification and how the national or provincial sport organization will be involved in and committed to the proposed activity

Give an activity outline (limited to 500 words) by:*

1. Listing specific details of the proposed activities to be supported by this grant (by name, date, and location)
2. Identifying the role you will play during the activity (head coach, assistant coach, observer, student, apprentice, etc.)
3. Indicating the calibre and number of athletes, their gender and age range and who will supervise/mentor the activity with their qualifications
4. Including a detailed budget listing all potential revenues and applicable expenses

Terms of Grant

Amount of Support

The amount of support available will be based on the merits of the individual application and the total funds available for this grant program. Coaches are only eligible to apply for and receive one grant within a fiscal year (April – March).

Grant Deadline

December 1st, March 1st, June 1st and September 1st annually. The grant is funded by the Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan and administered through the Coaches Association of Saskatchewan.

Follow up Procedures

Upon approval of the grant, a follow up report form will be delivered. This must be completed within 60 days of the completion of the activity.

As a recipient of a High Performance Coach Development Grant, you may be also asked to supply a photo and a detailed report of your learning activities for publication or promotion purposes or to speak to other coaches about your experience.
