Boldt carries torch through Parliament

First Torchbearers
A total of 16 torchbearers, including 13 selected ambassadors from each Canadian province and territory, will run the first legs of the 2010 Paralympic Torch Relay
Saskatchewan - A seven-time Paralympian, Clayton Gerein has been a mentor and inspiration to many young wheelchair athletes. Gerein passed away shortly after carrying the Olympic Flame on January 9, 2010 after losing his battle with cancer. His daughter Jasmine will carry the Paralympic Flame in his honour as a torchbearer at the 2010 Paralympic Torch Relay Lighting Ceremony on March 3 in Ottawa. >> more NEWS

Hebert brings home gold

Ben Hebert touched down at the Regina International Airport on Tuesday with two valuable keepsakes from the 2010 Winter Olympics. In one pocket was the gold medal the Regina product earned as a lead with Canada's Kevin Martin in men's curling at the Winter Games. Tucked inside his broom bag was a hockey stick signed on the shaft by Sidney Crosby, which Hebert acquired at a post-Olympic party for Canada's athletes in Vancouver. >> more NEWS

Canadian Para-Nordic Athletes Win Gold and Bronze

Collette Bourgonje, of Saskatoon, captured the first gold medal for Canada on the season after winning the women’s middle distance sit-ski race with a time of 18 minutes 29.9 seconds. Bourgonje, who has won four medals in her five trips to the Paralympic Winter Games, captured her first IPC win since 2008. >> more NEWS
