Being active in recreational and competitive sports helps children and teens develop lifelong healthy habits. Good nutrition not only supports physical activity, but it also enhances health and sport performances. This month’s Sport Nutrition Tip of the Month “Sport Nutrition for Parents” shares some successful ideas developed by parents of young athletes. >> more NEWS

ATHLETES …. Your Voice Counts! Status of the High Performance Athlete Study
ALL CARDED ATHLETES will be invited to complete an on-line survey - Sport Canada will be conducting the 4th Status of the high performance athlete study over the summer. Carded athletes, coaches, high performance directors and Canadian Sport Centres presidents and service managers will be surveyed. EKOS Research Associates Inc have been contracted to conduct the study. >> more NEWS

Now available on the CAAWS website “Creating a safe and welcoming environment” resources on the topic of homophobia. Information presented will help coaches create inclusive environments for all participants by utilizing support resources such as case studies and a list of safer and not so safe countries. >> more NEWS
