Yves Belanger never had a natural knack for being a speed skating official. Belanger, who is going to the Vancouver Olympics as a race starter, remembers the first time he officiated the sport. His oldest daughter, Lindsay, then a member of the Saskatoon Lions Speed Skating Club, was taking part in a meet in 1988 at the Cosmo Civic Centre. >> more NEWS

The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) today announced that five-time Olympic medallist Clara Hughes has been named Canada’s flag bearer for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The event will take place from 4-6 pm on February 24th at Canada Olympic House (6th floor of the Hudson’s Bay store downtown Vancouver).
