Nutrition for Cold Weather Sports
Special attention to adequate fuel and fluids is imperative in cold weather sports. The cold temperature can suppress an athlete’s appetite, increase their energy expenditure by shivering, and, depending on the location, can make it very difficult to refuel and rehydrate.
